The normative force that the Constitution has reached, its expansion process into all areas where human beings develop, imposes on legal professionals a responsibility to achieve a deep knowledge regarding this area of ​​Law, allowing them to achieve a vision Criticism of Constitutional Law and its institutions.  

The Master's degree aims to develop skills in the professional field related to the constitutional system, its institutions, guarantees and the exercise of rights within the framework of the democratic Constitutional State.

General Objective: 

To train professionals with specific skills in the field of Constitutional Law in order to deal with current and relevant tools, the new constitutional paradigm and the problems it entails, thus contributing to the professionalization and rigorous academic training of professionals in this field of law

Graduate profile

Upon completion of postgraduate studies within the present program, the student will be able to identify the new institutions and debates that revolve around contemporary constitutionalism, being able to take a critical position in this regard. Know the new and modern methods of interpretation of both the constitutional text and the infra-constitutional norms in the light of the Constitution.

The graduate will have a comprehensive vision of fundamental rights in the different areas of exercise of power, as well as use in a coherent and adequate manner the framework of the guarantees made available in our current legal system. Similarly, the graduate will be able to take a position on the critical defense of human rights and the protection system that this entails and participate critically in the construction and design of institutions and mechanisms for the defense of rights to the light of the Constitution. Likewise, knowing precisely the debates and contributions to the new institutions of modern constitutional law will contribute to an exercise of specialized Constitutional Law, allowing this paradigm shift to be consolidated.
