Train professionals who are involved in the proper use of the territory in the areas of environmental management and then that sustainable environmental approaches can be applied in the vision of regional and national social development. Promote the discussion, debate and proposal of policies, lines of action and regulations that translate into actions that promote the improvement of productivity in the region, in direct connection with the need to establish adequate marketing mechanisms, provision of basic services and education effective; consequently, that they promote the improvement of the present and future quality of life. Support public and private entities, through trained professionals, in the formulation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of development projects that include properly raised environmental aspects. Train teachers in the use of tools, management of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques for environmental research applied to decision-making.

Graduate profile

The graduate of the preseute program will demonstrate the following skills: - Ability to work on improving the quality of life of the population through proper environmental management. - Capacity for environmental administration and control in production processes and services. - Ability to plan, formulate and execute projects for the management and ordering of the territory. - Ability for academic reflection and empirical research. - Adequate understanding of the main environmental, urban and rural management technologies. - Ability to apply environmental policies and regulations. - Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve environmental conflicts.
