The master's degree in Telecommunications is aimed at the specialized training of professionals capable of responding to the changes, demands and opportunities of the sector, through the analysis and modeling of wireless communications networks and systems, optical communications, data centers, management and network security, design and management of technological projects, business and service models, sector regulations; capable of designing, managing, developing, implementing and operating state-of-the-art telecommunications systems and networks, all in order to offer better technological skills to the different public and private companies related to the area. It is a professional master's degree that aspires to train people with critical thinking and high professional capacity, who contribute to the generation and application of knowledge, in a context of ethics and social respect, thus contributing to the integral development of our environment.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Duration per module: 11 days (2 weeks and one exam day)

From Tuesday to Friday:      18h00 to 22h00  

Saturday:                    07h00 to 13h00

Monday:                       18h00 to 20h00

Graduate profile

Graduates of this master's degree will be able to:

 

Have a broad and detailed view of the platforms and services that support information and communication technologies.

Have the knowledge for the design, management, implementation, operation, of telecommunications projects, in accordance with good practices recognized by the industry.

Design, manage, direct, implement, secure, operate, control and audit telecommunications networks and systems, especially in those cases that include new technologies and services, in accordance with good industry practices.

Intervene in negotiation, contracting, and control processes with manufacturers, distribution channels, operators, customers of telecommunications systems and services.

Make quality, security, and continuity plans for telecommunications systems and services.

Perform managerial, operational and administrative functions in the field of ICT.

Exercise university teaching.

Having the ability to identify situations that can be taken as an object of study for the generation of knowledge, in order to generate solutions and contributions to the epistemological baggage of the country, the region and the world.

Promote a culture of continuous updating of knowledge and teamwork.

Develop capacities for identification, analysis and search for solutions to problems related to telecommunications.

Have an advanced knowledge of the capabilities, characteristics and potential of modern communications technology, at the service of society.

Integrate into the information society and establish indicators and actions that promote the elimination of the digital divide, promulgating ethics and solidarity through active and responsible participation.

Entry requirements

Applicant teachers must have the following profile:

 

Professionals with the minimum third level degree that has a registration code in the SENESCYT in the areas of:

 

Electronic Engineering.

Telecommunications engineering.

Systems engineering.

Telematics and related engineering.

According to the CES resolution communicated to the Universities, and the Academic Regime Regulations, the qualifying degrees are THIRD LEVEL OF DEGREE and not the degrees of the third higher technical-technological level, since these are qualifying for technological masters and ours it is academic.

 

You must also demonstrate proficiency in B1 English, comply with the enrollment process and approve the defined admission process.
