The Master's program in Specific Learning Disorders (TEAp), is aimed at training professionals with high competence in the comprehensive care of children and adolescents with specific learning disorders. It focuses its study on the academic, cognitive and socio-emotional difficulties presented by students with permanent educational needs, not associated with disability, which implies a specialized intervention, to favor their access to the regular curriculum.

This master's degree has a neuro-psychopedagogical and inclusive study approach; providing the professional with the necessary tools to carry out prevention, detection, diagnosis and intervention, considering the evolutionary course of these disorders, in order to improve the quality of life of this population and contribute to the educational excellence of our country.

If the teacher is international, the schedule can be adjusted to the teacher's requirements and the number of hours of the module.

Graduate profile
  • It has scientific guidelines in psychology and neuropsychology of child and adolescent development, in specific learning disorders. It uses contributions from scientific results to direct its action with the respective therapies within the educational system.
  • Performs psychodiagnosis in children and adolescents, using exploration methods and techniques.
  • Designs and executes psychopedagogical, neuropsychological and emotional intervention plans in specific learning disorders. It is integrated into multidisciplinary teams, for prevention, diagnosis, intervention and psychopedagogical research.
  • Employs strategies to support inclusion through therapies defined through research for the regular educational system.
  • Undertake research that promotes scientific advancement in the area of ​​study, generating new knowledge according to our reality.

Entry requirements

A third-level degree registered in SENESCYT is required in: Psychology, Speech Therapy, Early Health Stimulation. In addition, professionals with a third-level degree registered in SENESCYT related to the program and who prove experience of at least three years in the field of master's training.

  • In the case of a third-level degree obtained abroad, it must be duly apostilled or legalized by consular means in accordance with Art.22 of the RRA.
  • Comply with the online registration process by attaching the supporting documentation of the resume and detailed requirements.
  • Approve the defined admission process.
  • An English certificate issued by a competent institution is required; however, if you do not have one, the University will take a proficiency exam on September 02 and 09.
Admission process

Applicants must pre-register on the website of the postgraduate department (https://www.uazuay.edu.ec/admisiones/posgrados/), they must load:

  • Passport size photo
  • Title of third degree level,
  • updated CV,
  • Certificate of English approval at the university you graduated from. If you do not have an English approval certificate, the UDA will take a proficiency exam between September 02 and 09, 2022. For which you must indicate the need to take this exam to the Director of the respective Postgraduate Program.
