The Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a mention in Group Psychotherapy has as its main objective to train professionals who contribute to improving the mental health of society, through the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of therapeutic intervention within the group approach, the which are in accordance with current scientific contributions and advances.

With this program, it is intended to respond to the psychological care needs of the population at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, thus improving the quality of life and comprehensive well-being of people.

In addition, students in this program will develop strategies, skills, and technical resources that can be used in group therapeutic work with their patients.

Entry requirements

Applicants for the Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a major in Group Psychotherapy must have a third-level degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, registered with SENESCYT.

In the case of a third-level degree obtained abroad, it must be duly apostilled or legalized by consular means in accordance with Art.22 of the RRA.

Comply with the online registration process by attaching the supporting documentation of the resume and detailed requirements.

Approve the defined admission process.

Applicants must pre-register on the website of the postgraduate department (https://www.uazuay.edu.ec/admisiones/posgrados/), they must load:

  • Passport size photo,
  • Title of third degree level,
  • updated CV,
