The University of Azuay, within its fourth level training objectives, has sought the alternative of generating a master's degree program that embraces all the constitutional and regulatory principles that promote better territorial planning through the use of Geomatics and the sciences that this branch includes, as well as Geographic Information Technologies (TIG), the objective is to improve the management of the territory and its resources, in order to contribute to making appropriate decisions that allow improving the quality of life of the population considering the different territorial levels: local, provincial and national.

Graduate profile

Graduates from the master's program in Geomatics will be professionals capable of applying the various branches that make up the science in question and Geographic Information Technologies, having sufficient theoretical and practical bases to efficiently apply the different methodologies, techniques, tools and instruments. that contribute to the solution of problems that arise at the territorial level, and support the improvement of operational processes that involve the use of geographic information in the institutions to which they belong, guiding them towards its application in the resolution of situations related to territorial management, with which it is intended to generate contributions that help improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the various territories.

Entry requirements

The master's program will be aimed at professionals with third-level degrees in the detailed field of Earth Sciences and Engineering; however, professionals from other branches may be considered as long as the applicant demonstrates experience in the field of knowledge of the program and is admitted by the admission panel.

Admission process

Applicants must register on the website of the Postgraduate Department
www.uazuay.edu.ec/admisiones/postgrados, they must upload: passport size photo, third level degree title, identity card and updated CV.

Registration (50 USD) must be paid through the payment button with any credit card, or at the university treasury, or by deposit or bank transfer to the following accounts:
