The Specialty in Emergency and Disaster Medicine seeks to train specialists in emergency medicine, with a high scientific level in accordance with the local, national and international reality; capable of responding adequately to an emergency and/or disaster situation, with universal standards of quality, safety and improvement; with a comprehensive vision and critical thinking, in such a way that it promotes the well-being of patients in an acute state and with death threat.

a. Know the established and evolving advances with respect to the epidemiology, physiology, biomedical and clinical evolution of diseases in acute conditions.
b. Establish concepts and theories based on scientific evidence and continuous research, which allow appropriate care, from the individual and multidisciplinary point of view.
c. Develop a differential diagnosis when you evaluate an undifferentiated patient and create a diagnostic plan from that.
d. Develop a management plan for the patient, both with an undifferentiated disorder and with a specific process.

Applicants must register on the website of the Postgraduate Department (https://posgrados.uazuay.edu.ec/convocatorias), they must upload the following documents:
1. Citizenship card for nationals and passport or identity card for foreign applicants.
2. Professional title of doctor.
3. Title registration certificate at SENESCYT.
4. Certificate of registration in the ACESS or whoever acts as such.
5. Certificate of approval of the CACES professional qualification exam, if applicable.
6. Certificate of rural medicine approval.
7. Certificate that proves command of the English language level B1 or higher, with a maximum validity of 4 years at the date of application.
8. Resume with supporting documents.
MERITS
The following will be considered and scored as merits:
