Specialize professionals in the reflection, design and management of projects of an urban-architectural nature, that is to say, intermediate-scale projects that constitute a hinge between the strictly architectural project and the urban planning / traditional territorial ordering, so that they are able to modify the cities in search of greater environmental, social and economic sustainability.
At the end of the program, the professionals are expected to have acquired the following capacities and skills: With regard to knowledge, the professional will finish the program with a theoretical and critical understanding of the urban-architectural project in an interdisciplinary way from the social, economic and environmental. With regard to know-how, professionals will be able to propose comprehensive urban-architectural projects that are efficient, viable and transcendent, based on real problems in Ecuadorian intermediate cities. With regard to knowing how to know, professionals will be prepared to propose research projects to understand, reflect and contribute to knowledge on aspects related to intermediate-scale projects. As for knowing how to be, the professional upon graduating from the master's degree will understand the importance of valuing diversity, heritage, public space, citizen participation, prioritizing the collective good over the individual, all of which are intrinsic aspects to sustainable projects.
