The Master in Mines, with a mention in Mining Planning, aims to train professionals who, based on the knowledge acquired in processes, methodologies and skills, can determine the feasibility of mining operations in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner.

It is expected that graduates of this program will be able to take advantage of the opportunities that arise in the national market, within technical planning, supervision and management positions, with leadership, creativity and optimization skills; in addition to promoting problem solving, through technological development with a strong social and environmental commitment.

Graduate profile

Innovative professionals, capable of developing strategies and leadership skills for conflict resolution and optimization of the use of non-renewable resources, based on environmental, social and ethical responsibility.

Professionals with skills and tools to design, plan, and execute plans for the development of mining processes in the small, medium, and long term, through modeling, monitoring, and evaluation of mining components until the mine is closed.

Entry requirements

The program is aimed at third-level degree professionals with a degree registered in the SENESCYT, in the areas of Mining Engineering, Geology, Geotechnics, Metallurgy, and other careers related to earth sciences.

Admission process

Applicants must register on the Postgraduate Department website: www.posgrados.uazuay.edu.ec  They must upload: passport-sized photo, third-level degree, identity card and updated CV.
